This unsophisticated utility handles its one job but provides nothing in the way of customization options or additional functionality. This program’s name sums up its purpose, as it simply merges any number of AVI, MPEG, RM, and WMV video files into one larger clip. However, we were baffled to find that it can’t join files of different formats, a pretty serious drawback in our book. To make matters worse, the merging process seemed to take forever, and the demo placed a large and annoying watermark across our new file. On the plus side, since the program doesn’t have any features, the interface has few buttons and is as clear-cut as it gets. Easy AVI/MPEG/RM/WMV Joiner is only suitable for the simplest of video-editing tasks.
